SASCO @ Hong Kah North Senior Daycare Centre Is a Double Finalist in The 10th Eldercare innovation Awards

With the pandemic greatly restricting movement in the community, there was an impetus to design the SASCO @ Hong Kah North Senior Daycare Centre with biophilic elements to bring the outdoors inside. Simulated skylight with cloud motif, hanging ferns and a lush vertical garden greatly elevates the morale of seniors, caregivers, visitors and staff. Bright pendant Pop Lights inject an element of fun. Curvaceous path markers encourage ambulation of seniors within the centre. Biomorphic curves in the ceiling further augments the theme of the enveloping cocoon of care. In line with the government’s big push on digitalisation, the centre is pre-fitted for future upgrading works to incorporate digital games and activities. Our refreshing approach to the design of the interiors of the SASCO @ Hong Kah North Senior Care Centre was instrumental in the cinching of the Finalist Award in the categories of the “Facility of the Year - Day Care Centre” and the “Dining Space of the Year”.
