Interior Design and Service Provider Partnership Delivers Higher Quality of Care at St Luke’s Eldercare Ayer Rajah

For this SG Mark-awarded project, our interior designers wanted to create a multi-functional space that would become a shared space to use, interact and bond. To allow for easy movement, the walkways in the hall are roomier, adapting to the user’s needs. The rich woody grains bring users a sense of calm and simulate being immersed in nature, adding a therapeutic element. For natural light to flood in, the high ceilings complement the window panels, turning the indoor space alfresco. Overall, this interior design and service provider partnership broke down pre-notions of Eldercares being a place of boredom for the elderly. As this thoughtfully designed Eldercare Centre shows, Eldercares can be bright places for respite and leisure.
